email button not showing for users (Solved)

We have three admins and all three of us are able to see the email button for the posting members...both in their post and in their profile. It has come to our attention that the users do not see this button. I don't know if there is a glitch or if we've overlooked a setting. Could someone tell me w...

Re: Notification time too short - how to extend display time

Thank you, AmigoJack! I could have sworn we made that change from the APC but it looks like I was mistaken. No wonder I couldn't find it, . Your suggestion worked for me. We had changed it to 0 so I just changed it back to 10 and that is perfect. Thanks again!

Re: Notification time too short - how to extend display time

Thank you, AmigoJack. I'll give it a try tomorrow as it's too late now for me to fool around in the files. From the looks of what you posted that should do the trick. I will report back after I've given it a "shot". Again, thanks bunches.

Re: Notification time too short - how to extend display time

It's not. You barely have time to read it. We may have adjusted the time some time ago because of the time between submitting and actually seeing the post seemed a bit too long. I am thinking that adjustment may be the problem. I just don't recall where that adjustment was made although I know it wa...

Notification time too short - how to extend display time?

We are testing out using a first post to go into moderation queue approach for newly registered users. What my co-admin noticed when testing it was that after typing his post he received a momentary flash of a notice that the post had to be approved. We are wondering how to make that momentary notif...

Member changed email addy and is now inactive

This is the first time I've run into this but in searching the forum I think I found the answer. Issue: Member changed his email address. He does not show up on the member list. If you click on his name from a previous post, you will see his profile screen with the message: User is inactive - Reason...

Re: disappearing posts

Bad real time clock...Thank you for the clue! My test forum is on a spare computer and I am having a similar problem. I would make a new topic, get the confirmation and when I went to view new posts, not there. Neither was it showing in the forum. After searching here and reading the "bad real time ...

APC Side Panel - How to edit text?

How can I edit the text shown on the left side panel in the APC? Specifically the area where "You are logged in as "YourName". If possible, I would like to add a line of text above it. Your help with this is appreciated. Edit: I think I may have clicked on the wrong section when I posted. If this ne...

Re: Newest User: Displaying them even if they're not active?

If you are asking about the newest one who registered but did not activiate...you can activate that person by going to the Administration Control Panel, scroll down, you will see a list of Inactive Users and the last visit of the user and the reason for the visit, probably, "Newly Registered User." ...

Re: Newest User: Displaying them even if they're not active?

Registration is not complete until the user goes to their email and clicks on the confirming notice. At least that is how I understand it.
