Re: Absolution

This is one sharp style and I am so glad I found it. I tend to prefer prosilver over our default Blue Moon. Since I've had this style installed on my test forum, I now find prosilver boring. Absolution has eye candy and there is nothing wrong with eye candy to add to your web experience. You've hit ...

Re: i need these mods..

I did a quick search. From what I saw my impression is that the Hide BBCode doesn't work in the current phpBB version. I think it worked in older versions. If my impression is correct, it could be the board you posted is using an older version of phpBB. I wouldn't be surprised if someone more knowle...

Re: Duration of subsilver2 support

It also looks as though 3.2 could easily be released this year. Am I reading too much into things? Yes. 3.0.7 is in RC stages and it's already the end of February. I wouldn't expect 3.1 this year. Ooops. Thanks for that. I am going to change the typo in my post from 3.2 to 3.1 which is Ascraeus.

Re: Duration of subsilver2 support

I agree Darth, but it is not an undertaking any of us admins are wanting to take on. We would rather be prepared with a coding style that is officially supported. It is really difficult to get a straight forward answer as to whether or not the tables coding will be supported. From where I sit, it lo...

Re: Duration of subsilver2 support

Well, technically, only subsilver2 will be retired. That does not mean, however, that styles authors cannot continue to create styles based on subsilver2 ;) Okay, you are having fun with me now. I am more concerned about the official continued support for the coding, not so much about what it...

Re: Fluid Width

Yes, that is the default and the one most of our members use. I tend to use prosilver along with a few other members. We may have a couple/few who use subsilver2. I realize these are fluid. The reason I was asking was in case we have a need for one reason or another to change styles, if a style we l...

Re: Duration of subsilver2 support

Well, David, that is good news. That means I can get my finger off the panic button for now! I'm still wondering what the future holds for subsilver2 even though I can see now it may not mean we have to begin the struggle of changing themes at this point. Like the 7 page thread referred to, not just...

Re: Duration of subsilver2 support

Thank you for the link. It appears to be a 7 page (at this point, anyway) lively discussion on the Blog link I provided above. It doesn't negate the information provided in the Blog. Having said that, the Blog left wiggle room regarding the subsilver2 issue. I am under the impression at this point t...

Re: Duration of subsilver2 support

In the Sept. 18, 2008 Blog Londonvasion Re-Cap – phpBB Ascraeus: There is much to do. ;) As you can see, we basically started planning what we want to see. We also need to take into account that we want to retain some sort of backward compatibility – in the sense of not rewriting everything. :) subs...

Re: Fluid Width

We have a subsilver2 based style as our default (Blue Moon). We offer Prosilver and Subsilver2 as options for the users.

Fluid is important as we have some little netbook users and having to scroll from side to side puts a real damper on their enjoyment of the forum.

Fluid Width

While searching the styles database, one cannot help but notice the preponderance of fixed-width styles. Is fluid-width being discontinued in the foreseeable future? I hope the answer is no as we prefer the fluid width format. Any info on this? Is there any tutorial around that steps you through cha...

Duration of subsilver2 support

Could someone tell me when support of subsilver2 is expected to expire? I am not necessarily looking for an exact date. A phpBB version number would be helpful. It seems to me from what I have been reading that subsilver2's days are pretty much numbered. I am asking because we currently have a subsi...

Re: Absolution

I am really enjoying this style. I do have a some questions though. 1) Is there a way to make the style fill the screen rather than have the dark blue borders? Like Prosilver...no margins on either side 2) When reading a thread, if I scroll down to click on "Administration Panel", the text is under ...

Re: Absolution

Congratulations on the validation of your style. I like it so much that I am about to put it up on my test forum.

I echo previous poster in that I hope you continue making more styles. You have a flair for it.
