Re: Is it possible to manually restore an older database?

Thanks, I've already tried that with the same results, I can't see any duplicate entries though. Open your backup (COPY of course) in a plain text editor and FIND CREATE TABLE phpbb_search_wordlist ( word_text varchar(50) NOT NULL, word_id mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment, word_common ...

Re: How can I make phpBB board 2.0.22 online offline to users.

This MOD has a lot of features, but it should work for you: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=274377 (it basically makes the phpBB disable forum system more advanced, so admins can log in while it's disabled and still see the board) That was a nice MOD with a lot of options. But for on...

Re: PHP, or MYSQL, or Unicode issue... I don't know for sure

There is an easier way than write some code if you can access your old site. On this site install [2.0.20] SQL Backup in PHPBB. Download the backup to your disk and open it in a text editor and FIND CREATE TABLE phpbb_search_wordlist ( word_text varchar(50) NOT NULL, word_id mediumint(8) unsigned NO...

Re: Change function of a post button

Look in lang_main.php for $lang['Code'] and in bbcode.php for functions

Re: PHP, or MYSQL, or Unicode issue... I don't know for sure

Here is probably what happened to you. On your old host they were using a MySQL version 4.1.x or higher and on your new host they are using MySQL version 4.0.x or lower. I don’t know an easy fix for this, when I had the problem I did it the hard way. Can you still access your old host?

Re: Music On Index Page Of Forum

To point you in right direction, you shouldn’t use overall_header.tpl to put your script in, because it will load on every page for the forum and will make your users go bananas. ;) I suggest index_body.tpl instead. You can use HTML-code in the template files.

Re: Problem with registration

You need to search through your tpl files to find which one has this line <table class="forumline" width="1000%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3"> Like ric323 says, you have to search your template for this line. We don't know exactly where because you are using another template then subSilver. My b...

Re: Moderator/Groups Hidden on main forum

iirc = if i recall correctly. nothing to do with upgrading. :) StefanL has the right idea, but slashing the code out doesn't appear to be the correct way to do it. i tried it, and all it did was switch the forum from displaying the mod's to displaying the code that's changed. :( Code changed above ...
