Re: Adding buttons to my header

Go to the directory root/styles/STYLE_NAME/template and edit overall_header.html In the head area of the document add a resource link to any external css you are using <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="WEBSITE_LINK" /> Straight after the <body> tag, add the items you want to include in th...

Editing the body padding in common.css hasn't effected anything, and purching cache, aswell as clearing my browser data has shown it is uneffected by paddin...

Re: Country wise Header and footer

I would allow php to be used in templates and use either personal information to display the country they say they are from, or guess it by using the ip address as a reference.

Re: Placing Footer using absolute posistioning problem

Although I don't know much about float positioning, would that solve the problem?

Placing Footer using absolute posistioning problem

I just managed to configure a header that works perfect for my forum that uses absolute posistioning, and thought I could use the same method for creating a footer at the exact bottom. The problem is the footer appears in the middle of the page ([url]www.mediacityonline.net/forum ). I'm sure this is...

Re: Repeating images horizontally

Solved this problem myself, well was more of a misunderstanding. I thought absolute posistioning in percentage stretched the image like SD Tv signals do on big tvs, but after testing around with it realized that the image is repeated to fit the size of the browser depending on the allocated percenta...

Repeating images horizontally

I only know the basics of css and to make sure everything is working correctly in the scripts I am making, I am designing them in normal document first. I have been stuck on this problem of repeating an image horizontally all day, and searched all over for different combinations of code to make this...

Re: Integrating PHPBB with Member Area Login

If you want to use 1 area to login into your own system and phpbb your going to have to use some code to use variables from your other script as the username and password for phpbb to recognize as login information. I don't know much about sessions, but if you can get the information from the sessio...

Changing title sitename page seperator

I know how to change the title to display my own custom information, but I am not sure how to change the separator (the diamond symbol) inbetween the sitename and page name. I was wanting to change it to something like >>

Does anyone know how I can change that seperator to another symbol?

Re: PHPBB debug interfering with other code externally

Kellanved wrote:There are APIs for wrapping and login integration, I would recommend that you use them.
Wrapping sounds like it might solve any problem of phpbb trying to execute other functions, but I'm not sure how I would implement it in this code.

Re: Only first topic

Sorry I thought it was an external page that only used phpbb to retrieve information. I tend to use mysql commands to retrieve info from my database in pages not directly on the forum  .

But I'm glad you found the right solution anyway :)

Re: Authenticate user for the ACP

You need the user to be in a group that has permissions to access the acp. You can change the group of the user before they access the acp from a normal group to an admin group, but I cannot see any other way around this other than what I have just mentioned.
