I've searched with the search function but one problem here is that there is no logic system to find certain problems.
Even when entering the certain keywords, I did not get any information regarding the problem.
I'll do it manually and browse through all the posts.

[question]new posts not shown

At times when I log in, I don't see the new post icons, it marks them all read and I have to check the date-hours of the replies to see what sections have new replies. Is there a solution for this or did I do something wrong?

[Answered] Multiple forums, one database

I want to install a second independant forum on the same server, using the same database. Do I just copy the original phpBB2 to another folder or do I have to do a fresh install in this new folder? They both have to be completely independant with other users and other sections. I checked the site he...

[request] see private mail you reply to

I guess that this is an "easy" mod, considering the fact that you see the other messages when you reply to a post.
Is it possible to create a mod that shows you the private mail you are replying to?

Question

I have this little problem.

Everytime I access the DarkEQ dir with an FTP a message pops up notifying me I have a file: theme_info.cfg.bak.

Is it safe to delete that?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll try that. There won't be complications if I delete the whole old RC-3 forum and replace it with my currently working Final version? I do not think there are database changes between the versions, or am I wrong? Just delete the old, overwrite it with the new and replace the config. Didn'...

Beta-site

I have a second forum running on another server. I did experiment a bit on that but when upgrading it from RC-4 to Final, it gave me an error. Still it worked fine but after adding a new (bug-free)template, it went down. First I had the impression it was the template that did it but now I am not sur...

[help] Different versions in one database?

This is the thing I want to do: I have a RC-3 forum and want to install the Final version too but in a different folder. That way I can experiment with upgrades, templates and mods and easily switch between them if finished, so that the users don't even notice this process. In doing this I also elim...

Thanks, didn't know that it did that already.

I've been at a perl forum and it did it immediate, even without replying.
It also marked the post as new after editing but this will do for me.

Disaster ;)

I installed the theme in phpBB_Final. Changed to it in my profile and everything worked fine. When I logged out, it didn't change to the subSilver theme and another funny thing is that it didn't let me login again too. The only option I had was completely erase my database and phpBB folder and start...

Is it possible to write a mod that adds a message and datestamp after someone edits his post.

Something like last edited: 04.01 - 09.21
