Yes I added the coding for the paypal button after but the forum was running slow before the button went in. And of course used the modission file to get rid of leftove...

Re: AutoMod issue after upgrading

I disabled Tapatalk then hit the delete data button as you suggested before running the file. I did notice that all files were still there though and that Tapatalk was still in the extensions manager so once The modission file was ran I enabled Tapatalk again in the extension manager. Do you reckon ...

Re: AutoMod issue after upgrading

Thanks the modission file worked perfectly. It removed the extra tab. Once I did that I re-enabled the Tapatalk extension. It's shown on screen as enabled but theres no MOD tab in the ACP where I can play with the extension's settings. Did that move in phpbb3.1.X or am I missing something?

Re: AutoMod issue after upgrading

Thanks Robert,

I have added the latest version of Tapatalk plug-in to the forum but that isn't working at this point. Should I be ok to just disable it before doing the bits you mention?

Re: Q&A Captcha not working

Ah, got it.

Just downloaded the new version of that style. How do I find out how to update the style without losing all the mods I've installed on it over the years?

Re: Q&A Captcha not working

I haven't done a full reinstall from scratch, I used this trick posted several times on the forum: * Upload all new files from a download of the full version, except for config.php, the /images and /files folders. * Go to yoursite.com/forumfolder/install/database_update.php * Let that run and then d...

Q&A Captcha not working

HI, I just upgraded my 3.0.11 for to 3.0.12 using a full install (i.e. I had to re-install my mods but my database and folders remain unchanged) upgrading has deleted the Q&A Captcha I was using previously. I reinstalled it but get a problem when someone tries to register. Here are screen shots to e...

Re: How to remove search function but keep "view new posts"

The sessions table was indeed the issue, so it looks like changing the search function won't do anything to fix that, thanks for the info, looks like I might have get used to purging the sessions table every few months

Re: How to remove search function but keep "view new posts"

I've been with this host for 6 years and only had issues when that table over flooded i.e. when the rows of the table went over 2000000 rows, seems like the issue is solved by purging the sessions so far. I've never had a problem with the host, they have great customer service, fast bandwidth and ar...

Re: How to remove search function but keep "view new posts"

Well after I delete or empty the culprit database, I assume removing the search bar will mean a lot less searches will be done on the forum which means the databases won't get filled up to the brink to make webhost issues again? Does that make sense or am I completely lost? :?

How to remove search function but keep "view new posts"

The search function is using too many resources from my webhost because of "too many rows in search tables" or some such thing, I got this issue a few months back and for a fix they told me to switch from fulltext native to fulltext mysql search which I did and now they're getting the same problem a...

I kept getting an error page with the search engine set to full text mysql, the stk sqlupgrader tool did fix that so I'm happy with the result. I'd rather not do anything else at this point in case I break something else  Thanks very much fro all the help guys

Re: Can't login on my forum anymore

You were right Brf, I just went in my database and changed username_clean to all lowercase and now I can login to my forum.

Is there a possibility that its done that to all users on my forum or just me?
