OK, after this whole chat earlier this week I went ahead and got the webhost to reload the forum backup from before I upgraded the database and the forum. All went back to normal. I now just ran MySQL Updater from the stk and I'm back at what I was earlier which is I can't login to my forum anymore ...

I recently upgrated to 3.0.11 but due to board errors had to reload a backup of 3.0.8 This came up when I upgraded from 3.0.2 to 3.0.8 all the way back when 3.0.8 was the flavour of the month. What are the brackets there and how do I get rid of them? These appeared a few years back when I updated the software to 3.0.8 (I think I was on 3.0.2 then) I'm tired of seeing that all the time now. From what I could see yesterday there were no conflicts and it all went well according to the software

I should probably add that I can't log back on the stk by generating a new stk password and dumping that file in the stk directory, its giving me this error: You don't have permission to access /stk/index.php on this server. Thanks for that, so for the forum id shouId I enter just what I see on the bar when I click on the forum, which would that be 'viewforum.php?f=38' ? Or is that something else I need to put in the text instead of N
