Re: custom registration cant log in

Trying not to seem like a total leech.. but are you ok with sharing some of your code? I already have a login/session written in, but I would like very much to use a custom login page. (Pretty much so people who register don't see the forum software) Seeing as you seemed to have solved the problem a...

Re: modifying the registration code

Well, if you want to have users gain instant access to the forum based on their email address then you would need a list of, or at least a set of criteria that the email addresses need to follow in order to be valid (like ending in .ac.uk or open.ac.uk etc...) I would also consider looking into cust...

Restyling UCP pages.

Hi there! I have a site and a PHPbb3 forum. I have already integrated a login/logout system that i found here and it works really well.. next thing is to make the User Signup pages and the password recovery pages look like pages from my website. Feeding posts from a forum to a page

Hi, Im not sure how it's done but I've seen it done before.. In particular, what I've seen is similar to a portal. The page grabs a set number of posts from a given forum ID and displays these posts in a normal page as "news" or updates etc.. I was wondering, since I would like to do the s...

Re: DreamHost "hosted" & PHPbb sessions

After I sent a second email about the user of third parties forums other than those in their auto-installer they got back to me and told me that no files were accessible, but this means any upgrading of the core files is done automatically.. I was also told that if I wanted to install my own PHPbb f...

Re: Full Site Integration

Hmm.. odd that. Ok, what's the structure of your site? Is it the same as / similar to this: Root/ (domain.com/) |----- page.php (where you want the sessions) |----- style/ (if you use style resources like I do) | |----- resource_files.ext | |----- forum/ (Where your PHPbb is installed) |----- index....

DreamHost "hosted" & PHPbb sessions

Hey there, I don't know if anyone knows about DreamHosts or how they do things.. But in the control for hosting.. they have 1-click installations for various open source software like PHPbb.. I had PHPbb installed this way to my hosting, BUT I don't know how to integrate sessions to it.. I dont have...

[REQ] News & Announcement Feeds

Ive seen this done before by other portal mods (Anver i think was one that did it) that could get posts from a specified forum ID and display the last few posts. My forum has a news & alerts section that only i can post to. How would i go about pulling the last 4 posts from the news forum and di...

Re: phpBB 3.0.5

I'm affraid im gong to have to correct you on your "review?" PHPbb is extremely simple to setup and even mod if you have even the slightest clue on even the most basic of web design, HTML and PHP. If you want to learn more about some of the tips and tricks to getting PHP to work for you, t...

Re: How to Add Custome Logo in AeroBlue Template

I have got this to work successfully on my own board which you can see @ World Recoded UK The instructions given at phpbbhq works fine. I used the first method, which was removing the line: <a class="headw" href="{U_INDEX}">{SITENAME}</a><br /><span class="genmedw">{SIT...

Re: New page

Your code is vulnerable to SQL injections, make sure it is a numeral. Wait, what? :D I don't know SQL that much to even understand what you're saying.. :/ You really want to stay away from code with vulnerabilities, especially if you are testing it on a live board. The direct definition for an SQL ...
