Well you need to tell the bots not to read from profile.php to stop profile views, but privte messages wont be indexed because bots can't get to them.

I read the last few pages of this thread and didn't see anyone mention my problem... I've installed the latest version, however there's a strage error going on with it. I had a previous version of the userlist installed a long time ago so I know that it's not supposed to look like this. http://delva...

I find windows FTP to be the simplest answer...just open IE and type in ftp://hostname.com, enter your username and password, and then you can browse the site's files like a normal windows filesystem. Lets you drag, drop, etc etc. No need for silly clients!

You pay for it, of course! You need a site that you have FTP access to, you could contact your host and ask if they'll grant that to you, but it's unlikely. Or you could be brave and try hosting it from a spare computer you have at home, but that may be completely unnessecary.

Are you an admin of that forum? If not, contact the admin and they can help you fix up your problem. Users cannot delete their own accounts in phpBB unless they are a non-default Admin. If you are an Admin, just go into the ACP and use the user management form to edit the account details you need.

Just dumb. Also, there's a 6 hour bump rule.

sitename/ is the name of your forum. You need to put it in the templates folder in your main forum folder.

Board display time different to everyone [SOLVED]

I'm having a very strange problem with my forum, and I'm not sure if if has to do with page caches or anything, but I can't seem to get a consistent forum time for my forum http://www.delvarworld.com/forum/ . I have no mods installed that are remotely related to forum time. When I view my forum in O...

Re: IP Address from a new user?

Actually I'd be a bit interested in this too; to see if users are signing up through proxies or anything. however, there is nothing you can tell from someone's IP address anyway. robert Uhhh except their country and ISP and relative location and then you can do some other neat things...which is plen...

no, you misunderstand, what you said to do will not change the number of characters, it will replace the text of every single subject line with this: 200 What on earth? That's not what it will do, that will just make the maximum length of the text you can put into the subject box be 200 characters....
