The only way to get rid of bug without going to IE7 mode was to remove width, font-family and line-height, so I've removed them all and that's what that code does - it removes that code for IE8 only without affecting other browsers. I said removing width is just enough, no need to remove font-famil...

CyberAlien, why you put font-family and line-height inside the #ie8#fix? I just put the width value inside that and problem was solved.
And also the textarea width on wide screen resolution doesn't stretch and create a gap between smiles and textarea box.

CyberAlien but it's absolutely a bug from IE, I searched and Find out it's a common issue and occurs when we define textarea width in percent.
Have you seen this?

Unfortunately auto Word-Wrapping feature does not exist in phpBB3!
