Another problem is that each occurrence of a word on the spam list will count towards the limit at which the user will be banned automatically. I suppose you could set that number to be really large, but there is no way currently to reset that count within the control panel. I figure there is a way...

Sorry, but that code looks wrong to me:

Code: Select all

while( list($key, $font) = each($lang['font']) )
{
   $template->assign_block_vars ('font_styles', array(
      'L_FONTNAME' => $font
   ));
}
Explaining the code is slightly advanced PHP, but essentially the whole procedure looks wrong.

Code: Select all

$lang['random_smilies_explain'] = 'Here you can set the display order of your smilies.'
should be

Code: Select all

$lang['random_smilies_explain'] = 'Here you can set the display order of your smilies.';
(missing semi-colon)

Haven't checked that. Make sure you take tabs in the install file into account as well. There may be two instances of the same code with differing leading tabs. Make sure you match up the whole line in this case.

in certain steps, when instructed to find a certain line of code in the phpBB templates, two results would come up (e.g. if ( $error_msg == '' ) in posting.php). I inserted the mod code after both instances. Was this the correct thing to do? No, that's the wrong thing to do and explains the error.

Hi, I am not able to reproduce the error. Please give me as much information on your Spam Words configuration and on what exactly triggers the error.

With this MOD you'd have to click the icon, then fill in the name of the new user in a new page - by that time it should be clear whether you were in the right place or not before hitting submit to commit the change.

This isn't too hard. OPEN viewtopic.php FIND (partial line match) $sql = "SELECT t.topic_id, t.topic_title, t.topic_status, IN-LINE FIND , t.topic_last_post_id IN-LINE AFTER, ADD , t.topic_poster FIND $topic_time = $forum_topic_data['topic_time']; AFTER, ADD $topic_poster = $forum_topic_data['topic_...

It seems that a lot of people are having this problem in various shapes and forms. I am not able to replicate the behaviour on my site - it always just works as intended on my site. I guess there are several different versions of CPG which is not really a surprise given how scattered the code in CPG...

Just a quickie question, about the workings of this mod. If a genuine user gets a warning is the number of posts they have to make to get out of the filter reset, for example if I have it set to two posts, do they have to make another two clean posts before being allowed to use spam words in their ...

In Confirguration section of this mod I have "Number of offenses before user is automatically banned" set to 1. However, I notice that after the first offense, the user doesn't get banned, and he can continue to post messages. Is there a fix for this? I have not been able to replicate that behaviou...
