Re: Forums show up as white screen after adding new IP bans

Are you sure you are logged into phpmyadmin with the correct permissions and looking at the correct db? Bah, I wasn't. Stupid me. I should really label correctly my database names. I have another MySQL database thats completly blank. And both the legit database and the blank database both have weir...

Re: Forums show up as white screen after adding new IP bans

I'm in the MySQL database, but where are the bans stored? I've peeked around phpbb_banlist but can't find anything that looks like one. They are in the _banlist table, look for the ban_ip field. If you are in phpmyadmin then make sure you are in browse mode. The browse mode is not available for me ...

Re: Forums show up as white screen after adding new IP bans

Go into your database directly and remove the ban ranges. Adding that many IP bans will do nothing but break your board. Banning by IP is pointless in most cases anyway and if you feel you must do it then the best place is via .htaccess not phpBB. :) The http://www.stopforumspam.com/downloads/ data...

Forums show up as white screen after adding new IP bans

After I posted the 10000-15000 range of IPs, a white page kept showing up when I tried to access my forum. My forum: www.gmodna...

Change User Registration Setup

I want to modify the registration code on where it says "E-mail Address" and the user inputs their e-mail, that underneath that in red letters it says "Do not enter a Yahoo E-mail. Use a spare Hotmail or Gmail account." (It doesn't have to be red if that's too difficult) Since phpBB has issues with ...

Need help making topic icons mandatory

I want it to make it mandatory so that a user must choose a topic icon. Try this code. Make a backup before changing anything though! Open posting.php Find: $error[] = $user->lang['EMPTY_SUBJECT']; } After add: if ( empty($post_data['icon_id']) ) { $error[] = 'You must select a topic icon'; } I trie...
