Re: [ALPHA] Board Clubs 0.1.0

I installed this MOD, and everything is fine except for one thing. When I try to activate catagories (I have made some catagories), I get this error. General Error SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right ...

Re: Anti Spam ACP

I installed this MOD, and it does not stop posts from going through when spam words are in the post.

I tried configuring it and trying to fix it, but it still goes through.

I don't hit any error messages or anything.

Re: Inactive and Banned Users` Custom Titles & Avatars

This mod needs to use user_id value to obtain data from database. You can add a second controll to check if user_id set Open memberlist.php Find if ($config['inactive_users_enable'] && $auth->acl_get('u_view_customavatars')) Replace with if (isset($user_id) && $config['inactive_users_enable'] && $a...

Re: Inactive and Banned Users` Custom Titles & Avatars

I'm having an issue using this mod with the SEO mod. Since the admins over there were no help, could you possibly point me in the right way to debug this issue? I am currently setting up a site which uses the "Inactive and Banned Users` Custom Titles & Avatar" MOD When I activate the "Profiles ID re...

Re: Use this instead of another software

Ever since phpBB3 came out, i've stuck with it since.

They way it's designed plus its open community (and open source) have made it the top pick for me.

Very customizable, very secure, and of-course very awesome.

Re: User Lock-Out

Without updating you lose a lot of bug/security fixes and will not be able to enjoy all the new features. There are no major bug/security fixes in those updates which would pose a significant threat to my site. Aswell, the new features which 3.0.6+ provide (both security and Admin/User features) ar...

I found a recaptcha addon specifically for 3.0.5 and now I have the recaptcha system (No need for 3.0.6)

We'll see how it works out.

This isn't about registrations, this is about brute force methods of bots trying to access accounts.

Re: User Lock-Out

You would need to have a MOD to accomplish that. Why not use a different option like the 'QA Captcha" or the 'reCaptcha' as these have not been broken. I'll be looking into these two, I am running 3.0.5 though and i'll have to check their compatibility (Many of my MODs don't support the 3.0.6 struc...

Re: User Lock-Out

Never. The idea is to prevent hacks by password guessing. If that is the actual user, they will either complete the CAPTCHA and supply the correct password or notify the admin to reset. As we know, spambots can easily read those captchas and just continue to attempt to guess the password. Is there ...
