Finding the xth poster

Users are seeing we are nearing the 10,000th post on our forums, is there a easy way to find out who is the poster of the xth post?

I would not mind doing this from the mysql command line, just can not quote figure out the syntax of the join I would need.

Best way to merge

I have 5 sections to my forums, in each of those are topics, one section has 3 topics, software, hardware, and 3d apps. I want to move everything from 3D apps into software, then kill 3d apps.

There are not that many posts, so if there is no manual way, is there a automatic way?

Quite clearly, the design in NOT to give user-level visitors execute any SQL command at all. So, if the board has no security bugs, no one would be able to execute a drop table or whatever by URL. If there is a bug, then I would say even just the SELECT/INSERT/DELETE/etc. permissions are insecure. ...

A few months ago as a test I updated 1.44 to 2.0 and it went without a hitch, it was just a test. This evening I tried the update and it just simple would not work. The general concensus ont he list is that it will not work as well, can I get some clarification on some things. Is everyone really upd...

anum = year You really can't calculate bandwidth based on posts, it has more to do with hits, people reading forums don't neccesarily post, but loading images and everything will take bandwidth. It isn't too much though. How come you can not calc this, phpBB logs views, so total views x average pag...

phpbb statistics and a good host

Hello, I am wondering, hopefully some of you can tell me, those of you who have been running 2.0 boards for some time now. Is there a caluculation I can make to estimate bandwidth usage while using the default theme? I plan on not allowing avatars and image uploads, so the only variable is the actua...

[Answered] Best way to backup a MySql database

I tried to locate this information in the search here, I came up short. I need to migrate a old forum to the new forums, but I want to test it out on a copy of the old forums first. I can not seem to find the best way to copy a database and make sure it is all ok, as well as make sure it has a new n...
