Re: You are not authorised!

I believe this is a bug and not merely a feature request. Here is why: When the option is turned off, names are greyed out on the index page. This is to prevent people clicking on them. When the option is turned off, the memberlist is made invisible. This is proper and consistent with point #1. Howe...

Re: You are not authorised!

Thanks Kevin, Ill do that. :)

However, I would like to leave it as a suggestion that the 'profile' icon be hidden in the same way as the 'members' link is made invisible when this option is used.

You are not authorised!

User roles allow us to select an option that denies a person viewing the memberlist or profile. We have a group that is denied that privilege. However, I do not want to rub it in their face. When they click the ‘profile’ button they are presented with a rude message, “You are not authorised to view ...

Re: [REQ] User moderates own topic mod?

This is a very good idea and I asked once about it back in the phpbb2 days. Yes, we would use it on our forum but I would not give the feature to standard registered members. It would be a privilege given to a membership class somewhere in between registered member status and moderator status. We ca...

Re: Moderator edits Admin post

I think this is a valid point FiresofSorrow has bought up. It is similar to the issue of founder rights. Administrators need the security of knowing that that his posts are secure no matter how trustworthy his moderators are. Could this thread be moved to 'Modification Requests'? I'm sure it is wort...

Individual member permissions overridden

Hi, Ive got a member who we would like to put on queue on one forum only. There is no user group that fits her requirement exactly and we don't want to create a group just for one person. So I have set her individual member permissions accordingly but because she belongs to the default 'Registered M...

Usergroup permissions

I have created a special Usergroup who need to find a hidden forum. Under Permissions >> Groups Forum permissions >> Myspecialgroup>> Roles, I have allowed standard user access. However members of that new group still cannot see the forum. :? Is there something I dont know about that should be done??

Sub Forum Question

Is it possible to click on a forum and go to a screen where only the sub-forums are displayed? In other words there is no opportunity to post a new topic unless you enter a sub-forum! And all the detail of the main forum is invisible but the sub-forums are visible.

Re: [2.0.6] Prune User Posts

Has this mod been adapted to phpBB3 and is it planned to be?

Also, I'm interested in this feature request.

Thanks

Re: Limit Editing Time

Found the problem thanks. Some of our forums did not have the correct roles assigned to them. All fixed now.

Limit Editing Time

I wanted to edit one of the posts I made and I don't see where the "edit" button is.. I thought it was in the bottom right hand corner but all I saw was the "quote" buttom. Thanks for helping me out and being so patient. G Can anyone here on phpBB help me? :? In the forum settings we have set the e...

Permissions Spreadsheet?

Is it possible for an administrator to get a (sort of) spreadsheet that summarizes all the forum and group settings-permissions etc in his forum? Ive forgotten what Ive done in some cases, and it is painstakingly slow clicking through every forum setup in the admin panel. Any suggestions? Gid

Invisible Posts?

Here is a bright idea. (if I may say so myself) You know how sometimes the kind hearted moderator does not want to come down heavy on dumb posts coz the member is a little bit sensitive about ‘big brother,’ ‘thought police’ ‘power and control’ etc? But the simple fact is his post is off-topic...

'Jump to' box

Quick question about the 'Jump to' list box.

Can the list show only the parent forum but not the sub forums? :?:
