The developers of phpBB hope to have no more need to release new versions of 2.0.x, if I remember correctly. All new versions in the future will probably be 3.0 or 2.2, and new releases for 2.0.x have been made recently only because of necessity (security exploits, etc.).

After a very long disappearance from the phpBB world, I have finally decided that there is no point in stalling this project any longer. Version 2.0.0 was denied (about a year ago, I must say  ), and version 2.0.1 is now in the MOD validation queue. I may even convert this MOD to MODX standard...

I am not quite sure what you mean. Anyway, it is possible to have your board automatically prune topics after a period of time. Simply go to Admin CP > Forum Admin > Pruning, and configure everything from there. Note that "prune" here refers to the automated deleting of topics after a certain period...

If your board is not MODed, I recommend that you update to 2.0.17 immediately . Security features and bug fixes are compiled into 2.0.17 so that everything runs more smoothly and efficiently. Just backup your database, delete the original phpBB directory, upload the 2.0.17 files, run the install scr...

There is no automatic way; you must delete all the posts by hand.

If each topic's body were to show in the viewforum page, wouldn't it be pointless to have the page at all? Also, it will definitely slow down the speed of downloading the topics. Do you have a particular reason for wanting this feature?

I answered a similar question a few days (or was it weeks?) back. Anyway, I do such things because I enjoy the feeling of achievement and contribution to a good cause, and receiving other people's thanks. Besides, the coding itself is really quite fun and educational.

Simply put, never use Dreamweaver. It does you no good, as you won't be able to understand the code you wrote, and it adds a ton of bad coding to your source code. Open config.php using Notepad or Wordpad after downloading it to your local space. And you may be getting a 404 error because you instal...

Definitely use Google to find your answer...

HTML is an authoring language that produces the basic layout of your site. PHP is a scripting language, like ASP and Perl, that produces dynamic content and whatnot (including phpBB!). HTML is client-side and PHP is server-side.

I have already submitted version 2.0.0 to the MOD Database; it is currently being validated by the honorable MOD Team.

By the way, this MOD will be renamed "Google Free MOD".
