I get the same error and my DB is curently 8.38MB I am running 2.0.12, anyway I noticed when my DB passed 3MB that the control panal backup utitlty was pretty much useless. Is this a known issue? if you are able to backup via phpmyadmin which is also Web based that tells me its not a PHP timeout iss...

Add new page

Tried searching but all I get is a blank page. anyway All I want to do is create a new page like the FAQ page on the board but with forum rules and regulations. how would I go about this or better yet just point me to a post that has handled this before I know someone has asked this question before....

well for the uploading part try this

yea the problem is the file is so large that the script times out before its finished sendign you the file (I'm pretty sure) if ther was a way to have it save to the server it self the server should have the time to finish. the same concept would be of use for restore as well, if you had the ability...

does anyone know if there is a way to have the server instead of offering the file for a download have it save it to the server itself because then you could grab the file via a FTP program and shouldnt have a problem with the script timing out.

on a side note, Ninja Chickens???

Has everyone seemingly forgotton the Mods DB? There is a whole section with MOD like upgrades for everything from 2.0.5. You can use a file splitter program such as Master Splitter v4.1 . You can split your files down to the size you need (I did mine in 1.5 meg sections..this depends on your hosts servers max allowed limits) and then upload it section by section, in the exact order it was split. you could install mysql on your own computer and run it form there if you wanted but I only sugest it if you absolutly dont want to move providers and you sould have a fast conection and a static IP
