Re: Question about updating mods

Thank you for the response. I thought I would ask once instead of 20 different places, but I see what you mean. I thought I might get lucky with an all encompassing answer. For mods that don't require database updates, on the old forum, I was just going to not update the files. But many of mods on t...

Question about updating mods

I hope I'm asking this in the correct place. My current forum has about 15 mods, many of which need to be updated several versions. One mod, for example, has to be updated 6 different versions to get it current and each update is estimated to be 30 minutes. I am coding a completely new forum with al...

Re: Correct way to get the JW player (V6) working in posts

Anyone ever find a working solution for JW Player 6? Would love to have the option for multiple versions of the same video - mp4, ogg, flv, etc. So many people are using mobile devices these days and flash is becoming absolute. If not JW Player 6, is there another player that is good for self hosted...

Re: [Release] proBoot - phpBB theme based on Bootstrap

* Bootstrap or not, the features as listed in this theme's description are "Responsive" and "Fluid Layout" and this is what attracted me to theme. * Google recommends Responsive mobile friendly sites over standard mobile sites * 2013 is the year where more web visitors transitioned into using smart ...

Re: [Release] proBoot - phpBB theme based on Bootstrap

I would love to see this theme completed, or see someone create another responsive theme if the author stops development here. If I had the knowledge, I would be doing it myself - but my coding skills are not at this level. Based on what I've seen, a project like this could benefit from it's own dev...

Re: [Release] proBoot - phpBB theme based on Bootstrap

I question if this theme is still being developed?

Is anyone aware of a responsive theme, anywhere, paid on not, which works for version 3.0.11?

I've seen some themes at rocketthemes, but they only work a new forum and I question how well they work with other mods. thank you for any suggestions.

nextgen - your SkyBoot theme looks exciting. Is there a way to download this or is there an ETA on availability?

Re: [Release] proBoot - phpBB theme based on Bootstrap

phpBB needs a good responsive theme that is customizable (it's long overdue). This is great. I have been waiting for something like this to appear for quite some time. I'm more of a marketer, not a developer, or I would have done it myself sooner. Thank you for taking the initiative to create this t...

Re: Timed Sequence of private messages?

Lumpy Burgertushie - sorry I missed your message. For some board users, like us, sending out a bunch of emails from board would be fine. We recently switched to a SMTP provider, so we can send all the emails we desire from our board, without any hassles. I think there is/will be a trend towards this...

Thank you for the response. I'm still one version behind (need to do an upgrade) so I guess this a little extra motivation.

Will banned users receive board wide emails?

We need to send a board wide email through the admin panel and I keep searching for the answer to this question, and can't seem to get an answer. The reasonable guess would be yes, but I wanted to make sure before assuming anything. Many of our banned users will result in bounces if we send an email...

Re: Mailchimp integration

Anyone every figure out an integrate for this, or any newsletter service? It would be great to get new members on an autoresponder which say, details the different features and areas of a phpbb board. Having subscribers in a customized service would also be a better way to send out updates (services...

Re: Database Error 1227 when moving to a new server

This is the closest thing to finding a solution that I have found, but I'm still trying to figure out how to run MYSQL dumps in phpmyadmin in Goaddy: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9956 ... -algorithm

Re: Database Error 1227 when moving to a new server

Strangely, I don't believe I have Anonymous forum installed as a mod. Also, I found out my new hosting account has MySQL 5.1.65, which I don't think would create the issue with the ALGORITHM clause ( I've seen where it's with MYSQL 4). I'm not completely confident, but it appears the issue is center...

Re: Database Error 1227 when moving to a new server

Oyabun1 - thank you for the reply. I'm checking with my new hosting provider to find what version of MYSQL is on the server (I've seen while searching that nothing below 5 supports the ALGORITHM clause). The user for the database has full privileges. If the command is mod related as you mentioned, I...
