Re: [DEV] phpBBchat (facebook like chat)

Heyy great been waiting for someone to make a working fb chat like mod. Please keep it simple, only chat with friends should be standard. Small clan forums can add echother. Its looks great as it looks now on your demo board. Arrowchat and Cometchat can already do this, but they're not free (and qu...

Re: How are forum posts stored in phpbb?

Most installs tend to you use MySQL.

If you goto ACP -> Maintenance -> Backup you can get an SQL dump of all your data.

If you're using some type of freehost, you might have problems getting your data out of there.

Re: [BETA]OurTube 2.1.0

I don't care so much about uploading videos, but from my understanding you can add links from YouTube and it will generate a thumbnail and stuff? Can anyone confirm this please? Correct. That is brilliant! I'm downloading it now =) Yea I'm running it on my forum with just YouTube links. Works great...

Re: phpBB 4 Or Next Version?

phpBB is the only forum software that makes sense imo. It's structured well, and the admin panel is easy to navigate.

My only gripes are plugins and those blasted parsed templates. I'd love to see a WP style plugin and template system. After all, PHP is a templating language at heart.

Re: Firefox 4.0 Beta 1

The most striking thing for me is that it resembles chrome visually.

I really like this, tabs on top makes much more sense.

Re: Fixed width Question

Try adding this to your CSS:

margin: 0 auto;

Also, do you have a link?

Re: Post widths are different on each post!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I've noticed that you must be logged in to see the strange width changes.

Here it is on firefox though:

I could also post the style I'm using if needed.

Thank you for the help!!!!

Post widths are different on each post!

Hiya, I'm just having a bit of trouble finding out as to why the width of the posts on my forums keep changing. For example, the second post here is a different width: http://forum.piratestoryonline.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=304 It also appears to be more extreme in browsers like opera for some reaso...
