Is invisible Recaptcha supported now in 3.2?? Thought I'd bump an old topic rather than create a new one...

3.2: Show recent topics on site home page (not part of forum)?? Script help!

OK so I did the phpBB 3.1.10 --> 3.2.1 upgrade today. It went pretty slick and I had no problems. The thing now is that my separate script I used on the website home page no longer pulls the recent topics. Here is the code that was working, and is now broken. I cannot use an extension because this i...

Re: Cost-benefit equation with self-made style?

You could save doing that if you added it as an extension True but that is more complicated IMHO because you need to learn the basics on creating and managing an extension and it's impact with upgrades. With my method, you edit one core file to add one line. That's easier for more people IMHO, and ...

Re: CRITICAL Bug -CloudFlare

I'm not necessarily defending them, but it's not a bug it's a setting, and anyone installing it should check the settings before they activate registration with it. Good point. But I still think TT the company is garbage, even though I use it on one forum still. Hope to finally dump them altogether...

Re: Cost-benefit equation with self-made style?

I've been using phpBB long enough to know you should only install custom styles in carefully considered, extreme cases. In other words, you shouldn't under any normal circumstance. Over the years as upgrades come you inevitably make way more work for yourself and usually frustration. What I finally ...

Re: CRITICAL Bug -CloudFlare

Cloudflare is an option on the platform but we are not using it/enabling it, if it is the root cause then the host may have it being used at some level that I do not have direct control of, I am investigating thank you for the direction! This doesn't make sense then. If CF is off it can't be interf...

Re: CRITICAL Bug -CloudFlare

I'm thinking this is more due to caching on the Cloudflare side. Open a support ticket with them to inquire. I run CloudFlare without that problem but I've only been running 3.1. I plan on doing a 3.2 upgrade today with any luck so I will be looking into this also.

Re: CRITICAL Bug -CloudFlare

I'm aware of a Tapatalk bug that gives new users way higher permissions than they should have. Are you running that POS add-on?

Moved to https, now how to update db internal links in posts??

So I made the switch to https last year. I realized something though. Some old posts point to the http version of my site. I want to update all those old insecure links pointing internally and even externally to https. So what I want to do is ideally run an SQL command to look at the posts database ...

Re: Easy update to new version? When?

Yes, phpBB is years behind many other products in terms of usability for administrative functions. I've been using phpBB since 2001 and I still like it but yeah some of these things changing in the core of the program would help a lot. I shouldn't have to install an extension to do something so basi...

Perhaps you use a custom theme that isn't fully responsive? Default phpBB installation is 100% mobile friendly.

Re: 3.2.0 and TapaTalk

I cannot find a TapaTalk upgrade for phpBB 3.2.0. The tapatalk website has what you need. Is it now redundant given how well 3.2.0 renders on a mobile device? 3.1 rendered well on mobile. I see only one reason for Tapatalk support, and that is mobile notifications. Otherwise I hate the app and wish...
