I understand about the link you posted. but, I hope you don't mean, I should do that with everyone that posts a picture? I would think there should be an adjustment in one of th...

Re: coverting from ver 2 to ver3 problems

ok, sounds pretty easy. one other question, what file do I use to add my link bar and images? I looked at the overall-header, but, it looked completely different from the ver2 I use to do all that manually. now I see it can be done within the forum. basically, is that still the same file to be used ...

(at least I hope thats all I need to do) glad to hear it don't take real long for a bigger board. the next two boards I have to do, are alot bigger than what I jus...

Re: coverting from ver 2 to ver3 problems

ok, I will try that. so, in other words, the info I put in will be: database name/un/pw should be from the old board . it just didn't make sense to me, because of the php3 info was automatically put in by the convert program. to simply this, is they any info that needs to be put in any of the fields...

Re: coverting from ver 2 to ver3 problems

so your saying the info I posted, is correct.
(the database name, username, pw petains to phpbb3.)

if I have it correct, then why do I keep getting an error
on the prefix? I used phpbb_ (same as what is in the config file)

I have no idea what to try.

ok, now, I am even more confused. are you saying that I should be keying in the php2 database info instead of the php3? I will break this down with hope you can shed some light on this for me: Database type: MySQL Database Server: localhost Database server port (left blank) Database name: (from the ...

Re: coverting from ver 2 to ver3 problems

address for old board: domain.com/bbb new ver3 : domain.com/bbbnew the conversion seems to be able to find that. but, not the table prefix (phpbb_ ) in the config file. I have two other message boards I would like to convert. the one I am working on now, is a very small one, that is hardly used. so,...
