You need to edit a template file,

its located in phpBB\templates\TEMPLATE-NAME\viewtopic_body.tpl


Open in your favorit HTML editor...

Lycos is a good free host, its as good as free hosts get, but the only true way is to pay the few bucks a month and a paid host.

Im no phpbb guru, but if you want to limit the characters that someone can post in one post, im sure you can do this. I believe all you would have to do is edit the multi line text field in the templates for the new topic and reply pages. Couldn’t you just put a max characters on it with simple html?

Im sure it would be as simple as changing the length in the database (not hard with phpmyadmin for anyone to do) and edit the template file with the field of the ranks...?
