I will pay someone to make a GOLF style

I currently run the site mylpga.com which is a community for discussions of women's golf. I would like a better style template and will pay for someone to create one. It has to be golf inspired with green as the main color, of course. It should also have a new golf inspired header and the forum shou...

I really like your style xand. I would like less white color in the forum though and am thinking of adding some color. Can someone tell me in what file I edit the forum/messages?

Thanks!

Visual confirmation needed

I am trying some new themes but some of them don't have the visual confirmation option for new registrants.

How can that be fixed? Is there a mod? Or anything else that needs to be done?

I need to keep the spambots away.

Many thanks!

Login error after upgrading

After upgrading to 2.0.19 I can't login to my phpBB. I get the following error message: ------------------------- Error in obtaining userdata DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'user_login_tries' in 'field list' SELECT user_id, username, user_password, user_active, user_level, user_login_tri...

Several forums and phpmyadmin

I have several forums on my server in different folders on the root directory: /folder1/forum1 /folder2/forum2 /folder3/forum3 Now I am going to install phpmyadmin. Where should I install it? Do I have to make one installation in each folder or is it enough with one install for all my forums? Thanks!

Reply but not New Topic

Hello,

I have a category in my forum where I want to allow my members to Reply to already created topics but I don't want them to be able to start new topics. Is that possible?

(this should only apply to that category, not all of them).

Thanks!

Advice on phpBB hosting

Would you be worried if this was listed in your hosts policy: ----------------- Databases are limited to 15 concurrent connections. While this limit is enforced separately for each username connecting to a database, it is against policy to attempt to use the three usernames alloted to a database to ...

I'm just measuring it by my own judgement....how long it takes for a page to load in front of my eyes. Is there any program/website that measures it by time?

Okay, thanks for the info. Yes, I thought that was quite small to be causing slowness. I am on a semi-dedicated server with plenty of bandwidth so there shouldn't be any problem there. What do you mean with "database server"? This is the slow site: http://www.mynudies.com This is the faster site: ht...

Getting slow with size?

How do I speed up my site? I run phpBB on two sites and I've noticed that one is slower than the other, even though they run on the same server, and have the same mods. Is the slowness due to size of database? The slow site has a database size of about 15mb while the faster one's database is only ab...

Database accumulation?

Does tables and data get deleted in my database when I delete it in phpBB? My database is getting quite big and when I looked through I believe I saw old stuff no longer used for my phpBB site. Could that be correct? Is there a way to tweak phpBB or a way to delete stuff that is no longer in use? Th...

Bandwidth needs and phpBB?

I don't have any idea how much bandwidth is needed to host phpBB sites and other sites. Therefore, I'd like to get a general idea about your experiences. I run 4 phpBB/MX-Portal sites with the biggest one having 800 members and growing fast. In addition to that I have 15 other small sites. I used to...
