One thing to try: Go to the admin panel, go to forum management. Look at the row of the forum that is having the problem, and click the "Resync" button on the right side.

Hopefully that will work, but no garantees. Let us know if it doesn't though, and we can suggest other ideas.

Have you taken a closer look at your index.php file, to make sure it is behaving as expected? When I went to http://home.no.net/quart02/forum/ or http://home.no.net/quart02/forum/index.php I was redirected to http://home.no.net/quart02/ But, when I went to http://home.no.net/quart02/forum/viewtopic....

Big MOD, changing the basic way that time works

Right now, time on the board is calculated in a weird way. Time zones are handled by the board, instead of by php's functions, which pulls things off. The problem with this is that Swatch Internet Time (SIT) works improperly with the system. This was a bug that was identified late in development, an...

Yes, you do have to set the permissions for each forum individually. You could do it for multiple forums with a SQL query... if it is really a big deal, ask about it.

Well, the alternative is to disable the board, and then close the browser. The way to re-enable it at this point is to run this query:

Code: Select all

UPDATE `phpbb_config` SET `config_value`=0 WHERE `config_name`='board_disable'

How big is your DB? What type of backup did you make? What connection are you on? How fast was the download going for you? Did it complete successfully?

IIRC phpMyAdmin can do a repair table thing. Try it from there. click on the broken table and look all over the resulting page, its kinda hard to see.

Doesn't exist yet. I know that at one point it was on the platter for v2.2 I bet it will be in that release. Until then, hit up the mod forums.

As rmang said, make sure the "Avatar Storage Path" exists and is chmod 777. Also make sure it is entered correctly in your general config panel in the form "dir_in_phpBB2_root/avatars/upload" Meaning that the path is in relation to the phpBB2 root, and there is no slash at the beginning or end of th...

Nope, not without a MOD. This is this way so that mod can make little edits without being intrusive... basically giving the mod the power. Any responsible mod will leave an [edit] note if it is needed. 8)

Well, afaik the color settings come originally from the .cfg file that comes with a template. one way to fix the colors might be to just dig through that file, and enter the colors manually. For subSilver, my theme row looks like this. You could probly modify this query to work for you, ask if you h...

Not sure about your first two questions..... It probly has something to do with the upgrade though. for the dropdown, I suggest going into forum management, and moving the forums up and down in relation to each other, maybe that will do something.
