Maybe they should just use the "forgot password"-function.

Maybe there is a better convert strategy, but downgrading the password-hash-function must not be done!

Depending on the PHP version and modules available bcrypt, argon2i oder argon2id

Why did you plan to change it to sha1? what are you trying to do?

Did you delete it all and tried it again? Does the error stay the same?

Does your server fullfil the requirements of phpBB 3.3.0?

If you used the complete package of 3.2.9 and upload all files except the config.php and stuff, then you are fine to continue with "Submit"

It looks like your language package is incomplete or broken.

Because this does not appear on your board if you select British English on the register page, but with Romana.

Where did you get the language package from?
