Re: Your opinions on the TPB trial (The pirate Bay)

The Pirate Bay. Pirate d software. Eggplant . It is simultaneously an egg and a plant . Really, if you're going to use the "legitimate purposes" argument then enjoy your lack of handguns. Unless killing people is ok? Anywho, story time! Let's just say that I open up a website detailing ho...

Re: Your opions on the TBH trial (The pirate Bay)

But you and I both know that TPB has refused to take down copyrighted material and other sensitive information ... That speaks volumes right there. No it doesn't. Strictly speaking, it doesn't matter if TPB have one torrent or ten torrents or billions of torrents. If their actions are illegal, then...

Re: Your opions on the TBH trial (The pirate Bay)

Just because it fits into a crime triangle doesn't mean it's a crime. The same goes for bottled water and running a torrent tracker. If running a torrent tracker is illegal (questionable) then a crime triangle is irrelevant and I'm not sure why you even brought it up.

Re: Your opions on the TBH trial (The pirate Bay)

There's something called the Crime Triangle. This Crime Triangle has three parts (duh :P). The first is called Target. The second is called Opportunity. The third is called Desire, or for the purposes of this discussion, Intent. First let's look at those do the filesharing. Who is their target? Tho...

Re: The Origin of the Species

As the Bible and god is in my eyes a story which is made up by some guys in the early years. read 2 Timothy 3:16 Yo dawg I heard you like circular logic so we put a loop in your reasoning so you can reason while you loop I believe in science and clear facts/proof. Until there is proof for god, I ca...

Re: The Origin of the Species

You can see evolution happening all the time. Micro evolution is extremely well documented, and extrapolating that to include macro evolution is no problem at all. However, given that the empty bottle on my desk hasn't suddenly become full of the best drink in the world (or any liquid for that matte...

Should they have the freedom to reopen, at their discretion, "settled" questions as new evidence or new techniques or untested ways of looking a the evidence emerge? I should think so. Putting the questions as religious questions only prematurely ends, potentially, the discussion among sp...
