... Yes this is how it works, no visitors no mails. Therefore you can use the cron as mentioned above. Awesome! Although it took some work with my isp, I have a cron job on the server running every five minutes and have not been able to make it fail since. THANK YOU!

certainly a IP address is not any way to find out anything about anyone other then what their ISP is. even that is not reliable. You know that, I know that, anyone with an ounce of technical knowledge knows that (heck, wide area IP addresses are generally dynamic anyway) ...

... I could login and use forum as normal. Still using version 3.2.1, haven't upgrade yet. I have received several certificate update emila from my ISP in the last few weeks which seem to indicate that their security is functioning OK. Any ideas what's happening please? Is the site insecure?

... to me that perhaps you currently lack the skill set to even think about hosting your board yourself. Also, if you are thinking about using your ISP account to do this, you will find that they will not permit operating a website using their service.
