Re: Removing a warning - how to do it?

OK, thanks.

I'll keep this in mind for when feature requests are reopened again, as I think that this could be a useful addition. For now, I guess I'll have to stick with finding a MOD or editing the database manually. :P

Re: Anyone gone live with RC1?

I've gone live with the release candidates. Board 1: an extremely quiet board, hardly anyone posts there anymore, so I used it as a "crash test dummy" case. It got converted from 2.0.19 to 3.0.RC1 within minutes of the RC1 release. Board 2: a new community that I had to set up. I had the choice of g...

Removing a warning - how to do it?

Hi, Say a warning was issued to a user, either erroneously, or some power higher up decides the warning was unfair and wants it removed. How is it possible to remove the warning? I do remember seeing something like this in one of the betas that let the admin manually set the user's warning count (I ...

Re: [Release] StarCraft : A Dark Skin based on StarCraft2

Hi, It seems like IE7 can't find one of the images for the theme, as shown in the screenshot below. It displayed fine on Firefox last night, so it could be a browser issue. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l116/ron2k-za/misc/starcraft-theme-error.jpg The screenshot was taken from the demo page link...

Default smilies and icons for dark backgrounds

Hope this is the right place to be posting this. :P The new smilies and topic icons that got added just before RC1 got released don't display nicely on dark backgrounds (they have these light pixels surrounding them). I initally fired off a report to the bug tracker, and it came back as "will not fi...

[REQUEST] phpBB 3 WAP interface

Hi all,

I'd like to request a WAP interface as a MOD as most of a community I'm about to start up will probably be using (older) mobile phones to browse.

I'm thinking of something along the lines of this, but for phpBB 3.

I'd be eternally grateful to anyone who can do this...

Re: phpBB3 and mobile phone compatibility

Thanks for the input. The reason that I'm concerned about this is because I'm anticipating that a large portion of the community that I'm about to start will be using mobile phones to browse the forums. I know that newer phones will be handle it (my Nokia N80 seems to handle anything you throw at it...

phpBB3 and mobile phone compatibility

Hi, I'm wondering: Are the default themes with phpBB3 WAP compatible? If it's possible to make phpBB detect if a WAP client is connected and make them use a theme that displays nicely on WAP clients, assuming that the default themes are WAP incompatible. I'm more interested about subsilver2 than pro...

Re: mass email in HTML format

Just keep in mind that there are lots of people out there who can't read HTML mail (I personally know quite a few), and they would not be very appreciative of HTML mail landing in their inbox. This could actually be the main reason why it's not included in the core code. Besides, I have plenty of ot...

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

I posted my initial comments on one of the first few pages of this thread. I've been browsing these forums, reading the various 3.0 discussions - and now I'm back, for some "second impressions". In my previous post, I did mention that this style would take some getting used to. I'm getting more and ...

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

It's... well, different. It will take some getting used to, but once I'm used to it I'm sure I won't mind it.

Although for one of my boards, I'm not sure whether to choose between proSilver and subSilver when the time comes to upgrade it...

Beta5?!!!!Arghhh!! When's RC1 out? (retreats to the hills) There's a post by dhn over at area51 stating that RC1 will probably follow Beta 5. That is unless there are a lot of bugs with Beta 5, in which case they will probably go to Beta 6. I would try and give you a link to that post, but I can't ...
