Masks are run on users, not groups. Is Admin a user or a group? To see what the resulting permissions are comprised of, click the 0-> icon on the left.

Updates and installations through cPanel are controlled by your host, so you need to contact your host for support. They do not use our files. We have no idea what they use. Therefore, we do not support such installations/updates.

If you can get a backup of your database, we can probably help you.

No. The hierarchy is Never, No, Yes. It does not matter whether the permission comes from a group, or is a User permission (which should ordinarily not be used anyway).
