The person doing the backup can backup the users table and then use this to delete the email addresses and then delete that table and restore the backup:

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_email = '' WHERE user_type <> 2
I would also not include the three word_* tables in the backup.

Yes, it's possible. Most Free forums don't allow database backups.

It may very well NOT be localhost. Your host should have sent you an email with the dbserver name, but contact them.

You shouldn't need to make other changes. Just make sure that Force server settings is set to no. Any issues, post back.
