Quick Way: In notepad, use the replace tool to replace all JABBER with GTALK ie, Edit > Replace > Find What = Jabber > Replace With = GTALK > Repalce All Ah, you've misunderstood me - the time consuming part wasn't converting the code itself over, it was making an appropriate SubSilver image for gt...

Note: GTalk MOD now released so this is redundant Another small note - this MOD can be used with just a change to the lang_main file and a new image to work with Google Talk (which uses the Jabber protocol). First replace the image icon_jabber.gif with an appropriate google talk image (one is in th...

Just a quick note to say that the current version of this modification is now 1.0.2 - the XMPP mini-mod can now be found in the /contrib/ directory and the finds have been made as small as I can make them while still ensuring that the right section of code is found. It has also been tested with ever...

Actually, I am looking at either grabbing the phpBB 3 source from cvs and backporting the Jabber class to phpBB 2.0.x or looking at this GPL'd Jabber class with the aim of being able to inform users if people are online. If I do do this it should be (relatively) trivial to add such functionality. If...

Stop using the ENTIRE LINE for your "FIND" statements... you only need a small fraction of the line, not the entire line, when doing a FIND-INLINE. Some of us have other MOD's installed and when MOD Authors do a FIND on the entire line, it means we end-users have to go into your MOD and f...

Having used both quite extensively I prefer the DS - the batterly life seems to be sustantally longer (roughly double depending on usage) and although the PSP has slightly nicer looking games, the one's i've played for the DS are more fun to me. Couple this with the much reported design flaws of the...

I do not share mp3s, I share oggs. But otherwise, yes I do - ed2k & bittorrent for the most part, but I still know a handfull of good FTP sites & share quite alot with friends via DCC over IRC. You just blew my mind with all your crazy acronyms and abbreviations mp3 = file format for music ...

mp3 or wma? Go for ogg, my good man. And do yourself a favour (i'm assuming if we're talking about wma you're on a win32 OS) and use CDex, it's not been updated for some time but is still the best win32 encoder around for oog and mp3 (as well as other formats).

Actually, it is a pretty big deal. What happens to your posts, your PMs, et cetera? They can't just be deleted as well.
They get switched over to being posted by a guest IIRC.

password manager can conflict with doing stuff in phpbb like for example changing your username. I have noticed this too. It's a pig when administering members on a board and your own details are displayed in the members. Agreed, the one thing I miss most from my many years of using opera is the 'M...

hmm, well legaly it would be complicated for sure. I guess they do not own a server, but rent it from a hosting company, so technically they would not own it? Just administer the site. Nope, they're paying for the hosting, it is their property (the data that is, not the physical hardware). Im sure ...
