Re: 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 update timeout

Please refer to this topic for the recommended fixes for the migration issues: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2453611 If you now get a 500 error, chances are that your cache is corrupted. In your cache folder (should contain folders production & installer) remove everything ex...

Re: Update 3.2.1 >>> 3.2.2

If you uploaded the full package after initially starting with the automatic updater, please make sure to first delete store/install_config.php.
Afterwards you should be able to choose the, in this case needed, database update only.

Known issues in 3.2.2

In the initial release phase we've noticed two issues that can prevent users from fully updating their boards: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function fetch_array() on resource in phpbb/db/migration/data/v32x/fix_user_styles.php:42 Fix: Open phpbb/db/migration/data/v32x/fix_user_s...

Re: Timeout installation 3.2.1 to 3.2.2

A timeout might also be a sign of a PHP error. Please take a look at your server's PHP error logs and post the result (if any) here.

Re: Timeout installation 3.2.1 to 3.2.2

Does it really happen right after you click on the update tab or while running the update? You can try to purge the installer cache in [phpBB root]/cache/installer by removing the contents of that folder. Do not confuse the path with [phpBB root]/phpbb/installer.

Re: Install with CLI

phpBB 3.2 ships with a sample config file which is the same as in our repository: https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/blob/3.2.x/phpBB/docs/install-config.sample.yml Copy that file, adjust it to your needs, and use it when installing phpBB. Make sure to not leave the config file you create in the board d...

Re: Veryfiying user password

I still need help with this one. Passwords in my user table start with either $2y$10$ or $H\2y$. I realise that this is used to select the driver for the password algorithm. bcrypt_2y seems to be the driver for the $2y$, the 10 is a setting, the helper class can read out. The question is, how would...
