Re: Change Header Colour To Image

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm sorry, I should have added that I'm using Subsilver.

Basically, I want to change the background color to a an image with a gradient. I still want the logo and text to be over top.

This is the site I want to apply it to:

Change Header Colour To Image

I want to replace the background color of the main banner (overall_header) to display an image. I'm not sure where to put the code. Style sheet, overall_header.html? What section? Anyone point me in the right direction?

Link to newest post from topic title

I'm new to this community so I wasn't sure where to post this or if I even should. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction? A place where the rules for how this works is posted? Anyways...I was on a forum where the software was set up to link to the newest post, when you clicked on the top...

Re: Automatically Go To Newest Post?

I did it. I'm going to test it a bit more, but I think it worked. Basically, I just changed the line in viewforum.php: 'U_VIEW_TOPIC' => $view_topic_url, So that it now reads: 'U_VIEW_TOPIC' => $view_topic_url . '&view=unread#unread', If it works out, should I make this into a Mod? I'm new to this c...

Re: Automatically Go To Newest Post?

I should also add that I'm talking about doing this from the viewforum.php? page and not the index.php page.

Re: Automatically Go To Newest Post?

Thanks for the reply! Where is that code located? I'd like to apply it to the main topic link so they don't have to click on the paper at the side, but just on the topic title. The reason is, I've got a group of folks from another forum and I want them to feel at home. The software on the old forum ...

Automatically Go To Newest Post?

I'd love to see a mod that would automatically bring someone to the newest post, when they click on the topic title. Same thing as clicking the "newest post" link, but from the topic title page and when they click on the topic. This way, instead of having to click on the topic, then click on "Newest...

Re: IP-address in topic for phpBB3

Sorry guys, I'm an idiot. I was reading the directions from the Subsilver, and didn't realize I had to read the additional info in the main pack.

I got it working.

Great hack and easy to use (when the guy implementing it isn't a twit). Thanks!

Re: IP-address in topic for phpBB3

I've installed this mod, but the IP address is not showing up. I tried deleting the cached file, refreshing the template cache and the site cache, but still nothing. All the XML file said to do was to add the line: <!-- IF postrow.POSTER_IP --><br /><b>{L_IP}:</b> {postrow.POSTER_IP}<!-- ENDIF --> A...
