Re: Mod request for a news scroller

According to the admin there, it was not implimented with a MOD, but it was done by "directly editing the template".

Re: Mod request for a news scroller

A good idea, which I'm trying already. Unfortunately they've not made it easy to contact admin, as PM are not enabled (probably just for Newly registered users), and posts need approval before they are enabled, and there is no contact Email details. :o

Re: Canonical URL MOD

From reading the description of the SEO mods, I can't see them mention anywhere that they put in the Canonical URLs.

Re: Infobox above/below forum

Thank you Oyabun1!

Yes it does offer some of the functionality, but lacks the ability to put in your own code, and restrict any type of formatting to bbcodes, which really limits what you can do.

Infobox above/below forum

I'm not sure if there's something already out there, but I'd love to have an info box, the same width and outline as the current forum sections, to sit above or below other forums, and allowing you to add in your own text, pictures or code. This could display - the latest news topics related to the ...

Re: Canonical URL MOD

Thanks Ozo! Not having any issues, but it's well known that Google does not like duplicate pages, so I'd like to resolve this, as you never know how it can improve rankings. This mod seems to be the only one around that resolves this, but the MOD is old and I'm not sure if it will still work for the...

Canonical URL MOD

This validated mod seems to have had no recent activity.

Is the Canonical URL issue still relevant, or are there other (better) mods that take care of the duplicate content issues?

Re: Links from mail.mydomain.com

It appears that my host uses this subdomain for mail from my domain... although I don't understand why there was no trace of this URL in previous months. I cannot find this subdomain in my cpanel anywhere, so it must be internally created by the host. Is this common practice? Unfortunately it seems ...

Re: Links from mail.mydomain.com

I can only see the stats from Awstats, which does not tell me any more than this.

Links from mail.mydomain.com

I've been monitoring my forum traffic via awstats, and noticed a recent (last few months) large increase in: Connect to site from - Links from an external page (other web sites except search engines): mail.mydomain.com My host tells me this subdomain is setup by default, for cpanel installations, fo...

re-direct domain.com/index.php to domain.com

For SEO reasons it's better not to have a homepage at both domain.com and domain.com/index, but just have one or the other. phpbb seems to internally use the domain.com/index.php, but most external links (many of which you don't have control over) tend to point to just domain.com. What's the easiest...
