Re: Redirection from phpMAdmin to forum

need more info than that. what does opening phpmyadmin have to do with your board?

how are you trying to open phpmyadmin? are you using it on your hosting account or are you talking about having it installed on your computer or what?

ok, in your config.php file.

changet the mysql to mysqli

for the database host leave it just like this:

$dbhost = '';
that's right, blank be sure to leave the ' ' marks.

Re: Get notification email for each new post AND custom usernames hacks

that is true and why I said most of the things . and why I said to check the extensions because I believe there is an extension that will notify a user of every reply made to a topic he is subscribed to whether he has visited or not.

Re: Get notification email for each new post AND custom usernames hacks

yes, what you asked for requires custom code. any change to the core files is custom coding. most of what you asked for is already available in the default system if you/they set their notifications properly. also you can look in the extension sections and probably find what you are looking for with...

Re: Favicon Showing Up? - Yes and No

It sounds like you are editing the acp 's overall_header.html file for the icon. first, you should not be editing any files via the acp and secondly, that file only affects the admin panel, not the rest of the board. the style editor in the admin panel is only for temporary working. the first time y...

Re: Forum style changes taking days to show changes

and, go to your hosting control panel, see if there is some time of caching setup there. it could be cloudfare. whatever it is, turn it off at least until you get the style changes done. those caching things delay the changes you make from showing up sometimes for days.

Re: Error, new installation

and, once again, it looks like you are not uploading all of the phpbb files/folders to your server. I have not once been rude to you in any way. I appreciate that english is not your first language and think between you and your translator you are doing a good job. however, this works both ways. whe...

Re: Display Last Edited Time Information For Only Admin and Moderators

I would suggest that you do not do this to prosilver. I would suggest that if you don't already have a custom style that you create one . make it inherit from prosilver and just include the template files listed with the edits to them. that way, next time you update/upgrade you will not have to star...

Re: Home page #total topics statistic is one off

now the next question is why are you using 3.2.0 is that a typo and did you mean 3.2.3 ?

if you are using 3.2.0 for a new board, why?

you should be installing the latest version which is 3.2.3

Re: Works 3.2.2 with styles updated to 3.2.3

there is likely very little language differences between 3.2.2 and 3.2.3

just do the update , it only takes a couple of minutes. then , if there are any language problems you can solve them with just a couple of edits.

once again, what language are you talking about?

Re: Error, new installation

what are you using to upload the files to the server? that image looks like maybe the hosting company file manager. you should not use that. what does "translator" mean? you can download this: https://www.phpbb.com/files/release/phpBB-3.2.3.zip unzip it to your computer. open your ftp program. get a...

Re: Error, new installation

start over and upload the complete folder of phpbb all of the files and folders at one time.

make sure they all tranfer to the server.

it sounds like maybe some files/folders are not getting uploaded properly.

Re: Error, new installation

what exactly have you done? a new installation means that you have no files and nothing in the database when you install. you download the complete file package and unzip it on your computer then you upload them all to the server using ftp. then you run the install using your new blank database. any...
