(hell, at this point I aint picky, as long as they are breathing and female I don't care. )

Re: What theme do you think is the best and best?

the best style is the one that you and/or your members likes the best.

the reality is that most of the time the members just use whatever you provide and couldn't really care less about the style of the board.

Re: Lock forum but still allow replies on topics ?

there is no point to locking a forum and still allowing replies to topics. that is really the only reason to lock a forum is to not allow new posts. a reply is a new post.

Re: New Posts under Quick Links. What is the default setting?

in your scenario you want the link right below the "new posts" link. the one that says "unread posts". they will show as unread until you actually open them regardless of having looked at the list or not. by the way, as far as I remember, this has always been the default and the way that phpbb works...

make a rule. inform the users of the rule, enforce it.
or,
don't worry about something that is really not that big of a problem.

Re: PhpBB Personal Experience

you can do most of that with the current permissions system. create your groups, create the forums you want. set group forum permissions to only have access to the forum you desire. ' make the groups open groups so that users can join the groups they want. now, when a user visits, they will only the...

Re: The requested topic does not exist after deletion of spam users

if you truly deleted those posts then the only way to get them back would be to restore a backup made from before you deleted them.

it sounds like you made some sort of mistake when deleting.

Re: Forum update

so, exactly what problems are you having with updating/upgrading? have you attempted to follow the instructions posted in the reply above? if so, what happened. if not, then give it a try and see what happens. updating from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 is very quick and easy as long as you have and know how to us...

Re: mysql_connect function does not exist

phpbb 3.2 will work on php 5.4 up to php 7 ( apparently not 7.2 ) if you are running php 7 then you have to change the mysql to mysqli in the config.php file. mysql was deprecated as of php 7 so it will not work. so, either change the php version you are running phpbb on to php 5.6 so that it can wo...

Re: mysql_connect function does not exist

you should never use the hosting file manager to edit/upload/download files. they are well known for creating problems. get and learn how to use , a good ftp program like filezilla. then, any time you need to edit a file, you connect to the serverr with the ftp program, download the relevant file to...

Re: breadcrumbmenu & Recent topics EXT Error

ok, upload the same set of files that you had before for that extension.
once you have done that, the error will go away. then, disable the extension, then delete the data, then delete the files.

Re: breadcrumbmenu & Recent topics EXT Error

and, you should delete the data if you are trying to remove it.

first you disable an extension, then, if you are trying to completely remove it, you go back and delete the data.
then you can safely delete the files/folders from your ftp.
