Step by Step Installation Instructions
The docs folder in the download package ("full package")

Both sendmail and connections to smtp servers have been disabled on spaceports.com and coolfreepages.com. No emails will be sent. If you nevertheless want to install the forum on these servers, you might want to edit /includes/emailer.php in order to avoid "visible" errors: "Unofficial" tutorial for Spaceports.

Hiya,

I (eventually, the free portland service is quite slow) get a 404 error. Is the address correct? Sounds like its not.

I am no expert on free hosts. I know www.lycos.co.uk used to be the choice of the lot, but they recently added a very instrusive advert frame, but have a look, you might like them.

According to the portland TOS, at last check, they don't allow Bulletin Boards, such as phpBB.
