PLEASE, for love of God... help me find a file in phpBB

Post by stormbind » Fri Jul 18, 2003 6:27 pm

I have spent hours and hours trying to find the phpBB file that includes "message_body.tpl" and it's driven me utterly insane... :cry: :oops: 8O :twisted:

Windows cannot find any files that contain that phrase. That doesn't mean it isn't there it just means Windows Search sucks. :(

1. Does anyone know which file does the job?
2. How would you search for a word/phrase within a countless no. of files?

message_body.tpl doesn't exist. Can you provide an explaination of the file you want? Perhaps the one that says
"Information

Your post has been entered"

If so, confirm_body.tpl

message_body.tpl definately does exist but it seems rather similar to confirm_body.tpl... so I don't know. I'm drowning in a sea of files :cry:

I would like the name of the file that prints "Your message has been added".

But I desperately want the name of the PHP file that includes it, cause that's the part I want to edit.

Incidentally, when I search for the phrase "confirm_body.tpl" windows still finds 0 files containing that text (except the file that contains it in it's filename...)

Yep Windows search sucks. I found message_body.tpl in these 3 files (using a good programme :P ) (I'll PM you the name of the programme, otherwise this could be considered unlawful advertising).

\includes\functions.php
\admin\admin_db_utilities.php
\admin\admin_styles.php

the file itself is in:

\templates\subSilver\message_body.tpl

and in the directories for other templates as well

OMG! I still haven't found what I'm looking for! :cry:

The following line includes a file called page_tail.php

Code: Select all

include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/page_tail.'.$phpEx);
I want the part that includes message_body.tpl

The 3 suggested files in the above post don't appear to be the right files.

It's not quite clear to me what you're looking for but I suspect it's this part

Code: Select all

	if ( $msg_code != CRITICAL_ERROR )
	{
		if ( !empty($lang[$msg_text]) )
		{
			$msg_text = $lang[$msg_text];
		}

		if ( !defined('IN_ADMIN') )
		{
			$template->set_filenames(array(
				'message_body' => 'message_body.tpl')
			);
		}
		else
in \includes\functions.php

If this is not the case, how about telling us what the problem is :roll:
