how do i fix forum time

how do i fix forum time

hi i live in usa and i have a forum by phpbb but the time is not right i tried to fix it from admin panel still the time show wrong this is the Timestamp: 1224621047 i want to put but how would i put that and solve my prob any solution. i also tried with toolkit.php not working can u give me step by step in please. i am running my froum from dedicated server thanks

Did you correct the timezone both in the Administration and your Profile?

yes i did. when user post the time is diffrent also mine

Do you have a mod installed that shows dates as Yesterday/Today?

ok, let's clear some things up here.

1.the board gets the time from whatever server it is running on.

2. the time you set in the admin panel only applies to guests ( members not logged in )

3. the time you see when logged in, is set inside your personal profile settings.

4. you do not set any of that using a unix timestamp unless you are editing the database directly for some reason.
