Backing up a mysql base

Post by nedostizni » Tue Nov 25, 2008 4:16 pm

Some two, three years ago i have backed up my mysql phpbb 2.0.x board trough the Administrations Panel. And after that i saw that some tables were missing, so not all of them have been backed up.

Now i have a phpbb 2.0.23 and i want to back up mysql base. Wich method will you recommend me?

Thanks.

go to your hosting control panel.
find phpmyadmin or whatever your hosting company provides for accessing your database.

use the EXPORT function in phpmyadmin to backup all your tables.

save it as a file on your computer.
