trying to get admin rights back

Post by Dorothy J Gartner »

Hi I am currently using phpbb2 and an the administrator of it but when i had a webmistress trying to delvelop the site she took over control of the forum. but sadly she did not live up to what she had promised so i had to let her go but she tells me i have control of the forum but i was able to delete messages and members from the side panel but now i dont get that anymore.
Now I am fine with fixing a computer hardware side of thing but when it comes to software i am totally lost

so i do need help

Kind Regards Dot

Hi Dot,

You no longer have access to the Administration Control Panel?

Do you see the Administration Control Panel link at the bottom of the board pages?
Do you have access to the hosting control panel and phpMyAdmin?
Have you hugged someone today?

It sounds like you are no longer an admin.
If you have FTP access, then you can upload a copy of the Admin Toolkit (link in my sig), and make yourself back into an admin.
You can also use it to find every user on your board that has admin privileges, and turn the others off.
