Non-active users

Post by culey » Wed Dec 03, 2008 12:06 pm

Hi! Can someone tell me why do most of my new registered users become non-active even though they don't need to confirm their identity via e-mail?

Once you click the submit button on the registration page, your name appears on the memberlist page, you're at the bottom of the index and you're added to the user total.
You don't actually have to confirm/activate the account.

Sounds like you might be getting a lot of spambots.

5-10 % of my members become inactive at registration. I think the cause is that they by mistake on the agreement clicks that they are under 13 years. I have removed this alternative in agreement.tpl to stop this error from occuring.

Is this a phpBB3 feature? I haven't got that feature on my phpBB2 board...

Sorry my mistake. Didn't realise it was a 2x post.
No, phpBB2 doesn't have the option to turn that off. phpBB3 does.
