[Solved] Backup and upgrading

Post by fullthus »

Hi,

I just wanted to make sure I haven't done anything wrong now....

I made a back-up file before trying to upgrade from RC-4 to the gold version of the board.

During the upgrade something went wrong, and after trying to figure it out for a few days, I decided to install instead.

Now I took the back-up file and "reinnstalled" (don't know what you call it in english since I have the norwegian version) the info there. (members earlier posts and my background color)

It seems to be working ok (meaning I can write and read posts).

The 1 member that had registered right after I installed and before I reinnstalled the backup files couldn't log in because she was suddenly "non-active", but I changed that through the admin panel and I think it's ok now.

Om the bottom of the page I find this text: "Powered by phpBB 2RC-4 ©"

I just wondered if I've done something wrong even though everything seems to be ok. (I'd rather find out now than after a while.)

Thanks
Lin

Did you run update_to_FINAL.php? This should change the version number.

For RC-4, it will only update the version number. You can run it.

Note: Be sure to remove that file, as well as, the upgrade.php and install.php files when you are done installing your board.

Hm...

I only get this message:

"Running :: ALTER TABLE phpbb_users DROP COLUMN user_autologin_key -> FAILED ---> Can't DROP 'user_autologin_key'. Check that column/key exists

UPDATING COMPLETE -> 2.0.0 Final installed"

But if the the text: "Powered by phpBB 2RC-4 ©" is the only thing that's wrong it's ok with me.

If the updater did not correct the version, then go into your config table in the database and manually modify the version field to .0.0.
