I have issues.

Post by TheTopCut »

Hey.

I have two forums on my server right now.
One of them is 2.0 and other is 3,0

I have read instructions provided by this community forum sticky threads etc.

Since the db have been backed up from a server which is now just expired like today, and I am trying to restore the database to the 2.0 on my new server, but it end up on a blank page, and that message only have copyright line.

Anyways, forgive me if I ask a question that have been asked many times - is that the problem do with my server (I am using Postgres as my old server was mysql) or my db im trying to import?

lmk if you want to have access to a backup database file that is on my current server
plus it would be nice if someone have it converted to PHPBB 3.0 as it is really urgent to have it done within 12 hours.

Cheers

This article explains the best way to restore a phpBB2 board.

As you need to get the phpBB2 board up and running first, before converting to phpBB3, this is still a phpBB2 quesiton, so I've moved this topic to phpBB2 support.

Why are you using Postgres on the new board? mySQL is much more common.

Ok.

Anyways,

Looks like that Bigdump does not work on my server

It would be nice, if someone convert the database to PHPBB3 for me, if I give you a link to convert file, as well as $5 via paypal? (Payment will be sent upon completion)

What you could do, is convert it offline and then upload the converted database.
There's a great tutorial on doing that here -
http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/offline-conversions/

And a few other useful tutorials.

We're more about helping you to do it yourself, that doing it for you ;)
Good luck.
