No Authorization Code

Post by Homer Johnson »

I am password protecting my forum and don't need the 'Authorization Code' when someone is registering. How do I disable Authorization Code? I haven't found it in the configuration options. Thanks.

Have you installed the RAC MOD?
Just reverse the installations instructions if you did.

Thanks for the reply, Ric. I'm not understanding what you mean by 'reverse the installation instructions?' Should I put a number sign in front of the code below? Such as....

// RAC MOD Begin
#$lang['rac_incorrect'] = 'The authorization code you have entered is incorrect. The location of the code should be stated on the registration page. Please try again.';
#$lang['rac_code'] = 'Authorization Code';
#$lang['rac_location'] = 'You can find the auth code on the following page: <a target="_blank" href="http://www.ss5.com/authcode.htm">Authorization Code</a>';
// RAC MOD End

Or just delete that section of code? Thanks.

Just delete anything the MOD had you add.

OK, I'm understanding now. I installed the MOD code about a year ago, then didn't even use the forum and it took me awhile to figure out what you and Ric were talking about. Completely forgot about the MOD code being installed. Thanks.

If you're just about to restart a board, why not move to phpBB3 first?
