Yes, someone does use 1&1. AFAIK there are no known problems setting it up on their servers. So pleasee ask a more specific question...

Yes, that is a start. Teh Orcale™ knows all.

BTW, AFAIK is an acronym, not a username ;)

one and one host

Post by CTCNetwork »

Hi,

I am using one & one to host my forum.

You should not have any problems or issues..

I did have in install problem, so called the tech support. He ran the install and it worked for him! I'll be damned if I know what I was doing wrong! ! !

They are Ok, just watch your usage statistics... :D

All Working Ok

Post by CTCNetwork »

Hi,

Yes, all working great . . . :D

I had an initial problem with the install, so spoke to a Tech. He ran it for me and didn't get my error message - Been fine since...

Usage statistics.. 8O

This will depend on the package you have. I have a business (sponsored) one so get :- 1 GB Web space, 300 Email accounts, 10,000 MB/month traffic. (traffic is both ways).

They are hosting all my domains too . . :D (as in the Uk one of mine was shut down  )

Anything else, shout!

Post by CTCNetwork »

Hi,

I was getting a number of database/script errors.. I wasn't being allowed to connect to the database.

My oneandone is the .co.uk people but the SERVERS are in Germany :D :D
Which is why I like them...

Never had a 404 error...

1and1 should have sent you an email with all your info in it.
you need to ftp to your site or use the control panel they have, and upload all the files.
read the install intructions in the zip file in the docs folder. and you should be set.
