Critical Error On Install.php Setup

I am useing NETFIRMS free web host.... when i try to sign up on my install.php it gives me some kind of Critical Error
Cannot Connect message..... I need exact ways how to do it... Im new at this kinda stuff :(

Well it can't connect to the database. Have you entered the database information properly?

Insulting PhpBB won't do any good! It is the best around, and it ain't because of phpBB your doesn't work, installation is very user friendly.
What kinda mysql have you running(version) and you using phpMyadmin?(so you can test soomething on it to see if it works, cause me only works with phpmyadmin ;-) )

It is a free host so it can be possible mysql is just down for a moment...

you have to make sure to enter the settings exactly to what your host tells you.
your host should give you the 4 settings (host DSN (normally localhost, but can be something else), database name, mysql username, mysql password)

unless you type these EXACT you will get the error.
