php 4.1
??
apache 1.3

Lagging can be caused by a high server load, a slow connection,.....

A good idea would be to determine the time used for page creationg. For more information either read this or apply this mod(ification)

Seems to me it is probobly their database server (if it is a seperate server) because your site does not look like it is using SQL but the forums are, so that could be the cause.

Zoid,

PHP has versions too :P

Apache is the most popular server app in the world, and it runs php with great ease. It uses a DLL file to call the functions from, and is really easy to set up--You just add 3 lines of code to the cfg.conf file and copy a DLL file into the /apache/modules sections :D
