new posts :S

hey,
having a problem with my forum http://forums.xeclan.co.uk.
when there is a new post the forum icon goes red but when my users go to that forum there is no new post. so it knows there is new posts but wont let you see them. can any1 help?

What are the cookie settings you have set in Admin->General Configuration?

Cookie domain -
Cookie name - phpbb2mysql
Cookie path - /
Cookie secure - Disabled
Session length [ seconds ] - 3600

those are the settings. would it be anything to do with me changing Viewtopic.php?

Try the following for your cookies. . .

Cookie Domain - xeclan.co.uk

Cookie Path - /

Cookie Name - forumsxeclan_id not requiered - but id's your cookies easily

Secure Cookies - No.

Session Time - 3600

Do remember to log out and the clear your cache and cookies from your browser. . .

What changes did you make to viewtopic.php????

Did you keep a backup of the file? as you can try renaming the current one on your host and uploading the backup. . .
