copy/move topic(thread) ?

Post by qnx » Fri May 21, 2004 5:45 am

I have created a few forums for my phpbb install. Is it possible to move a thread from one forum to another? or "copy" over?
Thanks!

The best you could do is merge the two boards, and then remove the topics you didn't want to copy. http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... t=junction will merge the boards.

maybe I am not clear:

if you go to my Forum Index, you see "car discussions" and "best information about cars". anybody can post to the first one and only selected people can post to the second one. Sometimes, I see a good thread in "car discussions" that I would like to copy into the "best information". This way, I can tell the new users in "car discussions" to read "best information" before asking any questions.

thanks!
that's exactly what I wanted.
does a user have to be a moderator in BOTH source and target forum in order to move a topic?
