ok say you have a topic that is 10 posts long around post 6 it starts to go off the orgnal subject so you can make a new topic starting with post 6
so that both topic can contun undisturb by the other.

Is "splitting a topic?" a feature in phpBB 2.0? Where can I see an example? How would I go about splitting a topic?

Yes it is a feature. The best way to see it in action is to download and install phpBB 2.

Moderators (and admins) get access to the moderator control panel and the quick moderation links. In the Mod CP you can do mass operations on topic (move, lock, unlock, delete) and split topics. There are also move, lock/unlock, split, and delete quick operation links on each view topic page.
