**** Schema is frozen ****

Post by psoTFX » Mon Nov 26, 2001 12:34 pm

The DB schema (for MySQL at least) is now frozen ... anyone installing from CVS as of now will have a DB compatible with the final release. Other DB's schemas will be based off of MySQL, MS Access is (IIRC(!)) complete as is PostgreSQL. MSSQL is the odd man out and will be updated in the near future.

So, this means actually that I can download all the newest php-files without having problems with the db-structure, right?

That's the theory, however, do remember that while the schema is frozen things in the code could (can) change which still may cause problems ... the schema freeze just means you're safe in terms of a basic install (or working on convertors, etc.).
